Two bylines, and the difference matters

Most guides here carry the Empty Vapes trade desk. The compliance guides carry a named person: C. Chai, director, UIC International B.V. That is not a formatting choice. A page telling you who registers a product under WEEE, GPSR or the EU Battery Regulation carries real consequence if it is wrong, so it carries a name and not a department. Every compliance page was reviewed assertion by assertion against primary sources before it was published, and the person who signed that review is the person on the byline.

Who writes these

The Empty Vapes trade desk. We are a European wholesale supplier of empty vape hardware, so our expertise is specific and it is also partial: we know sourcing, factory specification, tolerances, QC and the documentation an EU importer is asked for, because that is the work. We are not a laboratory, a notified body or a law firm, and we do not write as though we were.

What we verify before it is published

• Specification figures trace to the supplier catalogue for a real SKU, or to a named standard. Where a figure varies by factory, we say it varies rather than picking one.
• Regulatory statements name the regulation and the year. Anything about a specific national obligation is reviewed by a named human before it goes live.
• Comparisons state the trade-off in both directions. A page that finds one option better at everything is usually a page that only tested one option.

What we will not claim

• That any guidance here is legal advice. It is not, and the obligation stays with the party placing a product on the market.
• That a specification is universal when it is one factory's. Hardware in this category is not standardised as tightly as the marketing suggests.
• A number we cannot source. A plausible-looking figure in a spec table is worse than no table, because it is trusted and then repeated.
• That we hold stock we do not hold, or a lead time we have not met.

Published and updated dates

Every guide carries both a published date and a last-updated date, and they are different fields. A year in a title is a claim about freshness; a date the page cannot support is a claim it should not make. If a guide has not been revisited since publication, the two dates match and you can see that.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will change it and move the updated date. Regulation in this category moves faster than most publishing schedules, and a trade guide that quietly ages is more dangerous than one that is obviously old. Corrections are made in place, not appended as a footnote, so nobody can cite the version we no longer stand behind.

The commercial relationship, stated plainly

We sell the hardware these guides describe. That is a real interest and you should read the pages knowing it. What it means in practice: we will tell you when a cheaper or simpler option suits you better, and we will tell you when the honest answer is that the decision does not matter much. See disclosures.
